Cube View

A cube view is used to truncate the amount of data provided by any other cube. A cube of any type is required to create a cube view. Initially all dimensions of the source cube are available in the cube view. To truncate the amount of data, the "fixing" of necessary dimensions is used, that is, setting the fixed dimension for dimension elements. Therefore, the dimension of output cube view is decreased.

On opening a cube view in express report, check if cube source has any new dimensions absent in cube view.

The already opened cube view is refreshed according to the new list of dimensions, therefore when data sources are reopened, the actual list of dimensions will be refreshed.

The cube view wizard contains a number of basic pages described in the Working with Wizards section. The following pages are also available in the wizard:

NOTE. Cube view wizard is available only in the desktop application.
