Automatic cube is used to create data source on the Top-Down scheme. Database and dictionaries are required to create an automatic cube. Dimensions will be based on dictionaries and the specified database will be used to store data. Data can be entered to the cube by the user or loaded from the specified cube.
The automatic cube wizard contains a number of basic pages described in the Working with Wizards section. The following pages are also available in the wizard:
Structure. Database is specified, in which cube data is stored, and multidimensional cube structure is formed by means of dictionaries.
Units and Indicators. Dictionaries are specified, which are used to organize automatic data scaling into required measurement units.
Controlling Dimensions. Interaction between parametric cube dimensions and other dimensions is set up.
Data Aggregation. Data aggregation by various levels of cube dimensions is set up.
Data Source. An alternative source is specified, which data is used by the virtual cube.
Managing Parameters. Passing of parameter values to open objects used in the cube is set up.
Fixing Dimensions. Source cube dimensions are fixed, which are not correlated with dimensions of automatic cube.
NOTE. Automatic cube wizard is available only in the desktop application.
