Connection to Relational Databases. This connection uses the Database repository object containing actual database settings where data is stored:

Connection to ADOMD Multidimensional Databases. This connection is used to get access to multidimensional bases that are built basing on Microsoft Analysis Services, SAP NetWeaver BW and other platforms:
Connection to Another Repository. This connection provides an access from the current repository to the object of another repository. The other repository settings are saved in the Repository Connection object. The current repository contains shortcuts that are created to provide access to the objects from another repository and their data by using Repository Connection:
