Updating Express Report Data

Data update is required after changing block selection and after changing source data.

Data sources and table data will be updated. All data update settings are saved together with the express report.

Autoupdate

Autoupdate enables the user to update data on changing of selection and/or with the specified period.

Go to the Home ribbon tab.
Select the On Selection Change checkbox in the drop-down menu of the Autoupdate button.

The table is updated each time the source dimensions selection is changed.

To disable autoupdate mode on selection change, deselect the On Selection Change checkbox in the drop-down menu of the Autoupdate button.

Go to the Home ribbon tab.
Select the Specify Period radio button in the drop-down menu of the Autoupdate button. The Autoupdate Period dialog box opens:

Set autoupdate period for express report data in the dialog box. Update can be executed each N seconds, minutes, hours.

NOTE. If autoupdate has been already set up for express report, it can be selected in the drop-down menu of the Autoupdate button.

The express report is updated once at the specified period of time.

To disable periodic update mode, select the Do not Use checkbox in the drop-down menu of the Autoupdate button.

Deselect the On Selection Change checkbox and select the Do not Use checkbox in the drop-down menu of the Autoupdate button.
Release the Autoupdate button.

Express report autoupdate is disabled.

To return to default autoupdate parameters, click the Autoupdate button.

After changing the selection the data table is empty and contains only the Show Data hyperlink. To fill the table with data:
