Setting Up the Bubble Chart Visualizer

Compare elements of metrics dimension with the following bubble chart characteristics:

1. X axis. Select the X radio button on the dimension tab and select the element, which values should be shown along the X axis.

2. Y axis. Select the Y radio button on the dimension tab and select the element, which values should be shown along the Y axis.

3. Bubble diameter. Select the Size radio button on the dimension tab and select the element, which values will be used to determine bubble diameter.

4. Bubble fill color. Select the Color radio button on the dimension tab and select the element, which values will be used to determine bubble fill.

The bubble chart is rebuilt according to the specified characteristics.

To set up fill and plot area borders, use the Plot Area side panel tab.

NOTE. The option is available if in metrics dimension the element is set, which determines bubble fill color.

NOTE. The option is available if in metrics dimension the element is set, which determines bubble diameter.

To set up bubble size, use the Size tab on the side panel.

Working with parameters on the tab is similar to working with parameters on the Height tab for map. The difference is that bubble diameter but not the map territory height is set up.

To set up parameters of bubble chart axis, use theX AxisandY Axis tab.

NOTE. The Y Axis side panel tab for the Bubble Chart visualizer is similar to the X Axis tab.

To set up trend line, use theTrend Line tab.

To set up tooltips, use the Tooltips side panel tab.

Data drill down is an operation, which enables the user to move through the data levels: from totals to drilled down ones. Available drill down depth is determined by the hierarchy of the data source dimensions.

If the drill down is available for a bubble, its context menu contains the Bubble Chart > Drill Down item.

To drill down data:

• Select the Bubble Chart > Drill Down item in the bubble's context menu.

• Double-click the bubble.

Drill up is an operation, which enables the user to move from the drilled down data to the drilled up data.

To drill up data:

• Select the Chart > Drill Up item in the bubble's context menu.

• Hold down the SHIFT key and double-click the bubble to be drilled up.

NOTE. The option is available if the Timeline role is used for calendar dimension.

To manage scale displaying, use the checkbox in theTimeline tab title on the side panel:

• To display a timeline, select the checkbox.

• To hide a timeline, deselect the checkbox.

By default, a timeline is displayed on a bubble chart.

To display bubble trace, use theTimeline tab.

NOTE. The option is available only in the web application.

Select the Bubble Chart > Settings item in the context menu to display side panel tabs that are used to set up a bubble chart.

To set up bubble chart style, use theBubble Chart ribbon tab.
