Example of distribution kit name explanationVarious versions of Prognoz Platform 9 distribution kits are provided. Distribution kits used only for 64-bit systems (labeled as x64) can address more memory compared to the 32-bit distribution kits.
Distribution kit name may also contain number of the version and assembly in the _N1.N2.NNN format, where:
N1. Product number.
N2. Version number.
NNN. Build number.

There are Prognoz Platform 9 distribution kits that use the Reg-free COM registration technology. This technology enables the user to install Prognoz Platform 9 without registering object classes and type libraries.
Technology advantages:
If there are prerequisites, Prognoz Platform 9 can be started without installation.
Multiple assemblies of the same release can be used at the same workstation.
NOTE. Within one release the assemblies, installed using the Reg-free COM registration distribution kits and distribution kits not using this technology cannot be used.

To correctly connect to repository, bitness of Prognoz Platform 9 and Oracle client must match.
All distribution kits (except for Add-in distribution kits) contain a driver for working with SQLite DBMS.
NOTE. On using of distribution kits that do not use Reg-free COM registration technology, only one distribution kit (PP9Full, PP9Standard, PP9BIServer) of one release can be installed on one computer.
On working with security server, security server distribution kit is provided and distribution kits of client workstations that are used to work with security server. All distribution kits that are used to work with security server use Reg-free COM registration technology.
Distribution kit name includes additional prefix Sec:
PP9SecServerIIS. Security server for IIS web server is provided only for 64-bit systems.
PP9SecServerApache. Security server for Apache web server is provided only for 64-bit systems.
PP9SecBIServerIIS. BI server for IIS web server that is used to work via security server is provided only for 64-bit systems.
PP9SecBIServerApache. BI server for Apache web server that is used to work via security server is provided only for 64-bit systems.
PP9SecFull. Full complex of desktop application for working via security server.
PP9SecStandart. User desktop application for working via security server.
The versions that are used to work via security server do not have repository manager, connection is set up by means of the PP.Util.exe utility at the security server.
Security server is also provided in distribution kit for Linux OS:

MSI help system installer:
PP9Help_RU.msi. Help system in Russian.
PP9Help_EN.msi. Help system in English.
To automatically install prerequisites and help systems during Prognoz Platform 9 installation, the prerequisites folder and MSI help installers must be located in the folder with Prognoz Platform 9 installer. Prerequisites are installed before Prognoz Platform 9 installation, whereas help systems are installed afterwards. The list of installed applications will contain different records for Prognoz Platform 9 and each help system (see Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs). On deleting Prognoz Platform 9 the help systems are automatically deleted.
NOTE. If on installing Prognoz Platform 9 Russian, Ukrainian or Kazakh language was selected, the help system in Russian is automatically installed, otherwise the help system in English is installed. If the required help installer is not found, the existing help system is installed, independently on the selected language.
The help system can be installed separately by starting a help system installer.
NOTE. If under one transaction a number of installers are started, if an error occurs in one of them, all of the installations will be rolled back including Prognoz Platform 9. To successfully install Prognoz Platform 9 using a remote connection (RemoteDesktop), the installer folder must not contain MSI files of the help system. For details see the Installation Features section.
