Creating an Update Package

Creating update packages provides integrity control. A component contains checksum calculated by all objects included into the component and depending on linked components.

Creating an update package and transferring updates between development, testing and operation systems can be executed using update routes that are set up in the Update Control System tool. To do this, repositories and components should be connected to an update control system.

To connect to an update control system

To create a component update, use the Create Update dialog box.

Open the dialog box

To create a component update package, follow the steps:

  1. In the Create Update dialog box determine update name and application version after update installation:

  1. Then click the Save button.

  2. If the repository and component are connected to the update control system, the created update package will be registered on the Installed Updates tab in the update control system window for the component or repository, for which update was created.

  3. If the repository or component are not connected to the update control system, a standard file saving dialog box opens:

NOTE. The file with the update package has the *.updpack. extension.

After the update package has been created, install updates to the required repository.
