Integration with the Python language enables the user to extend functionalities of Prognoz Platform 9 in the Modeling and Forecasting, Time Series Analysis, Reports tools. The Python functions are applied in the uniform formula editor.
NOTE. Integration with Python 3.5 or later is supported. The Python and Prognoz Platform 9 bitness must match.
To enable integration with Python:
Download the Python distribution kit from the language developer site: https://www.python.org/downloads/.
Install Python on the same computer where the Prognoz Platform 9 desktop application is installed. If Python is supposed to be used in the web application, install Python on the computer where BI server is located.
Add path to the folder with Python installed to the Path system variable.
Copy the python35.dll file from the Python installation folder to the Prognoz Platform 9 installation folder.
Thus, Prognoz Platform 9 is integrated with Python.
Connecting the R statistics package enables the user to extend functionalities of Prognoz Platform 9 in the Modeling and Forecasting, Time Series Analysis tools and in the uniform formula editor.
To connect the R statistics package, use the External Modules tab in the Parameters dialog box.
NOTE. This option is available only in the desktop application.
The following modules can be connected:
R Statistics Package. This package is used in the Analytical Queries, Time Series Analysis, and Modeling and Forecasting tools to execute calculation and data analysis. Specify the path to the installed R package or the server, on which the R package is deployed, in the Path to Directory box. If the R package is installed on the same workstation with Prognoz Platform 9, the path to the R directory is already specified.
